Topps adds Wayne Rooney autos to upcoming soccer releases

Topps has added a huge name to their autograph checklist for a couple upcoming soccer releases.

English soccer superstar, Wayne Rooney, will have signed cards in 2015 Topps Premier Gold Soccer and 2016 Topps UEFA Champions League Showcase. Rooney’s first Topps-certified autograph will appear in the Golden Boot die-cut subset in 2015 Premier Gold.

“We are very excited to have a player of Wayne Rooney’s caliber sign for Topps,” said Topps brand manager Zvee Geffen in a company press release. “He has not signed many cards over the years and this continues to show Topps’s focus on creating the best products for soccer fans around the world.”

The Manchester United captain will be signing for future Barclays Premier League sets produced by Topps as well.

2015 Topps Premier Gold Soccer releases on December 16. 2016 UEFA Champions League Showcase is scheduled to release in February 2016.
